Adding more flow to skimmer output ?
Gettting the SRO 3000 for my 180. Will have 40g sump. Should I add PVC or something to my output on my skimmer to increase the flow ? I seen some like this and I'm wondering if theres any benefits ?

how would adding a PVC pipe increase the flow ? flow is determined by the pump.
do you mean a gate valve to restrict the flow, to determine the water level inside the skimmer to get wet or dry skimmate ? |

Oh my bad. I meant like redirect it. Dumb question ... hard to explain.
Thought I was going to have a problem were my output wouldn't be facing the return section. Didn't think I would have room to turn it around , but i guess I might. |
