cycling with pods?

just wondering can you put pods in a cycling tank? it seems that its the best time to do it if i can due to nothing eating them

I wouldn't. Wait until the tank finishes cycling, then load it up with pods.

Good idea. Put in more than the cycling liverock can support. Then after pod die-back, the population can be sustained by the life growing on the rock and/or refugium.
