t5 question

im buying new bulbs.what i was wanting to know if i go with the Giesemann high output t-5s which bulbs should i get ? i have a 48" aquatic life 4 bulb t5 fixture. im currently running ati bulbs- 2 blue+1 purple ,1 aqua blue special .I like ati. im just gonna switch cause itstime to get new bulbs and thought i would try the giesemann brand,. i have a mixed reef {SPS,LPS,Softies}which giessmann bulbs should i get and in what order do they go?from front to back...

Giesemann and ATI are both good lights and pretty equivalent. Which bulbs you go with really depend on personal taste. If you like the look you have now, you should be able to find bulbs at the same spectrum as your ATIs, with the exception of the Fiji purples. I've never used those, but if you really wanted to go with Giesemann instead of ATI, I'd probably just go with the Pure Actinic. Otherwise, I believe the Actinic+ is pretty equivalent to the Blue+, and Aquablue plus is pretty similar to the Aquablue Special.

I was running similar colors to you. I was not happy at all. 3 blue+ 2 aqua blue. 1 Fiji. It was ok but after changing my bulbs to 3 uvl 75.25 and 3 blue + the colors are 5x better and in the last 2-3 months the corals have grown more than they ever did in 6 months with the old bulbs. Look into those if you want to try something. I couldn't be happier.

Actinic+ T5 Lamps* , Aqua Blue+ T5 Lamps*,
Pure Actinic T5 Lamps* ,and Giesemann PowerChrome
Midday T5 Lamps* which ones should i get for a four bulb fixture?

When I had my 55g up I had a 4 lamp AquaticLife fixture. I was also running the Geisemann bulbs. I had 3 Actinic+ and 1 Aqua Blue. Giesemann does make a purple lamp, its called AquaPink for some reason. I was running one of them in there but I like the heavy blue look so I took it out.

Current Tank Info: 5 pieces of glass with some silicone and plastic frames holding them together
