marine spider question!
So I made a trip to the trusty LFS (sho tanks in mundelein) and brought home a beautiful green with blue tip acro and a small Orange and blue zoa frag, and while floating the bag in the tank, saw a weird thing floating around, and when it landed it started to walk on the acro. I've never personally seen a marine spider but this thing looked exactly like a spider! It has tan legs and a clear torso. Right now he's hanging out in a cup next to my display. My question is, why are these so bad? I remember reading that they will feast on your pods, but other than that?

Now that I've figured this out, I need to decipher how Ive gone from a simple fish tank to a box of salty water containing colorful animals, with more electrical components than an ICU patient. Current Tank Info: 20G long (Drop) it may be just a drop of the ocean but its my drop and I love it! |

I thought the also fed on zoas...I could be wrong but, when I was looking for info on what was killing my zoas (in my case, it was zoa-eating nudibranchs) I saw some links/pics indicating that marine spiders could have been a problem as well. Google it....the internet is a wonderful thing.
