TLF Reactor will only tuble 1/2 of Biopellets

No matter how much flow I put in I only get 1/2 the pellets to tumble... I have only 100ml in there. I tried raising the screen up and all that does is change wich half is tumbling. Any suggestions?

I am coming off a manifold and diverted a lot of floww and still no change...

Take the foam off the bottom. I had the same problem, tried the foam screens and the bio pellet screens and it works best if I use no screen on the bottom.

Even after taking off the foam in the TLF reactor, my BPs kept on clogging up after a month or two. There are some nice DIY mods for the TLF if you do a search, or you can get a dedicated biopellet reactor for best tumble (JNS Alpha, NextReef SMR1, Super Reef Octopus, or Aquamaxxx, for example).

Why do I do this?

Looks like nowhere near enough flow. I run a maxijet 1200 for a feed pump and it tumbles 300 ml all the way to the top.

I would recommend, running the screen all the way down so you get the benefit, of the whole reactor.

+1 on more flow, not a lot more but more.

I've found best long term results, when every pellet is moving at all times.
