Bought a MagFloat and it bit me!

Purchased the large Magfloat and discarding the warning label on the package I now know what it feels like when these things slam shut with a couple of finger tips in between them. I yelped like a dog with a few hushed expletives (kids upstairs) when it happened. It took about 30 seconds for me to get these things off my fingers since it latched on to fingers on each hand. Ouch!

Works great on cleaning the glass!

Have had that happen. Comes second place to getting shocked by a heater that shorted out in my QT tank...Learned my lesson with that and now use titanium ground probes

+1 on getting bit by a mag-float and getting shocked (I unpluged a pump that came loose and was splashing water everywhere with my wet and salty hands).

The larger magnets like the magfloat 10 and other large tank magnets will easily take off a finger or two. They are no joke.

Ouch, I have also been there. I pinched my finger in a magfloat when I first got it. That is a STRONG magnet for sure.

The neodymium magnets on the Tiger Shark mag-float are super strong. It took me forever to pry them apart, can't imagine if my finger were stuck in between them!

If you can bite into a carrot, you could bite your own finger off. Someone should see what happens to a carrot if it is stuck between the two magnets... I have had my finger stuck in between a small mag-float and it didn't feel good. I am going to be getting a hammerhead hopefully and I won't be messing around with that!
