KaMi 's SpS StarFire Aquarium
All rights guys so Iam pretty excited to get back into the hobby. Iam finished doing my research on all the equipment iam gonna get for it. For years Ive had a fish only tank. It was one of those 30 gallon eclipse tanks that had everything built into the top of it. Emptied it, cleaned it and now its sitting in my garage ready to be sold to some lucky craigslister lol. I take pride in taking care of my things so everything still looks brand new.
So moving along, … Well so this year I decided to do a complete makeover of my room starting with brand new carpeting. So I completely stripped the entire room literally starting from scratch. The projects been moving along pretty slowly because I work the entire week and am off on Sundays only. So sometimes you feel like working and sometimes you don’t with the occasional distractions but Ive managed to stayed pretty consistant through out. Other than that my fiancés upset that we haven’t been talking a lot lately after I started my new project haha what are you gonna do right? I asked her if shes heard that song….everything I do I do it for you…lol the humor didn’t work either So my original thinking was that hey ok I want a tank but don’t wanna have to deal with it too much. So I was dead set on getting a nano. I looked near and far on the internet and everywhere…..so and Ecopico it was going to be. I liked everything about it. Just simply elegant. But I thought, I thought, and I thought…..Ok so realistically whats gonna happen after everythings all set up? All nice looking and all…with my limits reached on what I can actually put into that 5.5g nano…..knowing me….sooner or later Iam gonna wish I had gotten something larger! and would probably do it!…ugghhhh the addiction in this hobby lol….theres no getting away from it. So to make a long story short and a few bucks saved it was back to the drawing board for me. More time researching and blah blah blah. Wanted something bigger but not too big now or not too small but yet still something that will still look amazing and elegant, like a piece of art. So in order to do that it took a lot of research, time, and planning. Like I said my tanks have been fish only whenever Ive set them up. Never cared for corals or to have any and wasn’t sure why people were really into them. I guess its like a food you hate to eat when your small but over time as you grow up you start to develop a taste for it… It was like that for me. The more I learned the more I loved so great….new addictions lol. With this new build I plan on doing an SPS aquarium...like I said this is my first time so Ive been researching heavily how to take care of these animals but like you guys know in this hobby you never stop learning. For some of you wondering why I haven’t posted any equipment information…I plan on taking pictures and posting as things come in. Iam a very detail oriented person and a perfectionist so I intend on creating something nice, clean and detailed not to mention beautiful. If you like artistic modern builds than tag along for the ride . So here we go! So If you guys don’t mind Id like to proceed by sharing some pictures of the room also that my new aquarium will be going into. Last edited by Kamisxy; 12/26/2011 at 03:18 PM. |

So this is my room stripped down everything removed and ready for an xtreme makeover lol. And this is where I plan on putting the aquarium. In between two closet doors...the length there in the middle is about 46 Inches across. So my tank cannot be any longer than that. I think its a good place for it. As soon as you enter the room you will see it on the right wall there with the closet doors

Heres a picture of the entrance to the room from outside...then from the inside also. At one point I contemplated placing the aquarium on the left side of the entrance but it would block the view on the right side for someone just entering the room so for that reason I chose not to put it there.

Is it a custome tanks? Gallons? Deminsions? I like where you are going to put it. That sucks 46in you are only a couple inches short of being able to have a tank tofill up the whole space and not be custome.
