plumbing ?
Hello everyone,
Right now I have my return pump teed off going to 2 overflows(3/4"pipe). I have an ATB Flowstar 1500 dialed down alot. I wanted to tee off the lines to run my media reactors(2). The Question is....... Can I just tee off one of the lines to run both reactors or would this cause the water pressure to be unequal in the DT(one side pushing more water than the other)? Should I tee both lines to keep things "even". I don't know how water pressure works so sorry if this is a duh question. Thank you, Christine p.s. I do have 2 valves to control the flow for the reactors.

You can add more tees, but you should have a valve to control each branch so you can balance out the system.

I'd add a tee prior to the tee for the dual returns, and put a valve on the output line from reactor tee. Hopefully that makes sense.
Pump to tee to reactor and return, then tee into dual returns. |

unfortunately putting the tee before hand is not possible. I would have to go pump tee to return lines tee to reactors. I do have valves that came with the reactors so i will be able to dial back the flow. Is your suggesting based on trying to keep things even? Should i cut both lines and have 1 reactor running off of each line?
