Smile 3g Pico Build

Hello Guys! Here's my story. I started my 3g pico several months ago, this is my equipment:
Aqueon 110gph silent flow power filter
DFS Micron filter pad
Marinland mini heater
Small internal sponge filter
Azoo LED Neo Light (7w)

Parameters:
salinty 1.026
temp 80.2*F
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 4
pH 7.9

Current Inhabitants:
Rainfordii Goby (Amblygobius rainfordi)
Kenya Tree Coral Frag 1/2 purple 1/2 normal elevated for little better flow
2 hermies
1 trochus snail

The issues:
Tank got up and running, all params good several months ago. When everything was ready, I went to my LFS and bought a Maroon clown that she had had in her 3g pico an it was .75in, a nice 5in pom pom xenia, a hermit, a trochus, a 4in Capnella, and a purple nps sponge. That night the maroon decided to go carpet surfing >:/ Everything still doing good. Xenia looking a little unhappy. Bought ocellaris clown. Everything is in check. Next morningwake to find Xenia has crashed killing everything but sponge and hermit. 50% water change tank sits with good params for 1 month with just a hermit, hitchhiking shroom, and nps sponge. Went out and bought Rainfordii Goby not too long ago. He's doing great. Along with that purchase i bought another hermit and a snail. My LFS closed about a month or 2 ago. Went o another good shop downtown. Got 2 frags, one xenia, one Kenya tree 1/2 normal 1/2 purple. xenia died. I got it out without any harm done. 1/2 normal kenya dosent look too peppy, and 1/2 purple is closed polyps but looking good. I'm rather confused. Any input is greatly appreciated.

My camera is charging but I'll post a FTS asap. Thank You

Not sure if it will help, but I'd move that kenya tree down to the sand bed for a little while.

Is it okay if it drags on the sand bed? I was worried it would irritate it so I elevated it.

A three gallon tank isn't meant for fish in my opinion and especially not for a fish that can grow to 6 inches like that maroon clown. The goby is a better choice, but I still don't think a three gallon tank should house any fish. Along with a fish not suffering in a small enclosure you would have an easier tank to deal with.

You didn't mention your maintenance schedule, what is it? In a tank that size I would at least do a couple one gallon water changes a week. Try to lower your nitrates to 0. If you add more LR that should help with the stability of the tank. How many pounds do you have right now?

I wouldn't really worry about the Kenya Tree, I've seen them growing in muddy puddles in alleyways, so it should be fine no matter where you put it in your tank haha. Lower those nitrates and it should look better.

1. Slow down.
2. Stop buying fish.
3. If you begin again buy fish that will work in your tank.
4. Few if any fish will work in your tank.
5. Maybe look for a new LFS since they have made how much off of you already?
