New Tank setup & cured live rock

In the process of setting up my new 125g fowlr tank & sump/fuge system. Should be able to start filling with RO/DI this weekend to start the cycle process.

It will have about 50lbs of dry rock (dead), and I will add one piece of cured live rock from my existing tank to help with the cycle process.

Question:

The live rock I have right now has been in my 55g fowlr tank for about 10yrs. Lots & lots of purple coraline algae, at what point should it be safe to add the rest (60 lbs) of the live rock?

By adding more live rock, progressively, to the tank, would that help speed up the process?

TIA,
Charlie

Since it's fully cured you can add it all at once when your sure the new tank has cycled. Using the one piece of lr will help cycle the base rock, but it will help if you add a few pinches of flake food...ghost feeding...will introduce some ammonia to kick start things.

One more question

Forgot to ask: Would it help to take my existing filter pad out of my 55g and put it in the new tank to help cycle? (just filter only, no carbon)

You can add all of the live rock right away if you want, it will definitely help the cycling process since it is already fully colonized by nitrifying bacteria. Also, moving the filter pad should help the process as well.
