Exclamation Eheiem 2227 canister filter question please help

So i set up my tank everything is running great no leaks and is looking awesome . Only one issue I set up the canister filter with sponge media in it the problem is that when the filter is running for some reason it lets out a lot of small bubbles and is clouding up the tank cause of it. Please help me out maybe someone here has had the same issue before. Thank you roe your time in advance !

I have sponges on all chambers and I did rinse them all off before i put them in. I was going to put in ceramic rings but i have yet to find them at my LFS so i might just have to buy it online :/

Which brand of ceramic rings do you recommend?

are you going to be using live rock or is there live rock in the tank? if so then I would forget about the ceramic rings. I run a reactive 4 canister filter and chamber 1 has filter floss, chamber 2 will have chemipure elite and the 3rd chamber will have purigen (my tank is not fully cycled so I don't want to add those things until it is)

you could try using some activated carbon to clear up the cloudy water, what other kind of flow do you have in the tank besides the return from your canister?

I have a over flow from my refuge. I am also cycling my tank as well but now the salt is mixing at the moment.

how big is your refugium? if the overflow is just dropping back into your tank then its not providing much flow if any.

you should consider getting a couple of circulation pumps to move things around, I'm not saying that the lack of flow is causing your issues but it can certainly help it.

Also I just realized having all those sponges in your canister is probably what causing the micro bubbles to be getting into the tank, that is just a thought though, its possible that the sponges are creating air pockets and thus creating micro bubbles

Sorry for the late response.. My refuge is 30 gallons and I like your point of the sponges causing the micro bubbles I will remove the sponges tomorrow and I will let you know what happens then. Thank you for you ideas I really appreciate your input
