What is the best HOB skimmer for a 20g Long
Hey everybody, have a question. After my wife has seen the coolness of saltwater tanks-she has requested i set her up a small tank in her office in our new house. My plan is to set up a 20 gallon long with HOB skimmer and refuge. I have only messed with drilled tanks before and have no idea of the benefits/cons of different HOB skimmers. I have been looking at the Octo BH100 and have seen many people go with diffferent pumps. I am looking at the resun 225 pump for mine and am open to suggestions. Since it will be in her office, loudness is a factor, and i would like to make this system as quiet as possible. Also, if possible, i would like to get a dual chamber skimmer that i can make the second chamber in to a chaeto holding area. Money is a factor, and if anybody has a better suggestion-please let me know! Thanks in advance

Always liked the aqua c remora. Ran on a cuple different tanks and worked well.
Edit after reading clearly: the remora is only a single chamber. But-it did work well. |

Aquamaxx HOB-1. Quietest skimmer I have ever used and did an awesome job of skimming.

I had 4 different HOB skimmers on one of my smaller tanks The best by far was the Aqua C Remora Pro Yes you do get what you pay for when it comes to skimmers My only complaint was that I also purchased the buble trap. I takes up alot of room. Never a micro buble though. You can run the skimmer without the trap, I never tried it.

OK, so i have found out SWC makes a HOB (SWC mini HOT). I personally have an SWC extreme cone 160 on my large(r) system and it is GREAT! All the reviews i have seen of the mini hot are great, and the price is where it's at! Any input guys (and gals)!? Thanks
