Why not less light and more feeding???

I have been reading lately about coral feeding and it seen like corals grow a lot more when feed, so why not more feeding instead of super high lights???

I haven't check the cost cause I know nothing about coral food, but I assume that is cheaper and from what I've read better for corals.

More feeding means lower water quality.

Or better filtration and feed methods.

Corals benefit from frequent feedings but it doesn't take a lot, a little goes a long way. Put a little effort into finding how much to feed to keep your water quality in check just takes a little effort.

Why not feed more and have less light? They'd be ugly. Their color and fluorescence has to do with light, not food.

Because feeding is a boost of nutrition, it makes corals grow faster. However they are designed to be fed through the photosynthisis. If the light levels are not sufficient for the algae to survive- no amount of feeding can sustain the coral. Its a matter of not being a either or-the coral has evolved to be fed in the most efficient way it can- the sun is always there- food not so much.
