Vortech Mp40 arrives broken

Well my worst nightmare i finally got my new MP40 and was beyond excited and then it runs for 2 minutes and just stops... i can't get the thing to start again for the life of me. It flashes red and green. I try to just run it with only the dry side and it tries to start twice and then stops. Ive tried everything i even got it to hard reset and no luck.

VERY DISAPPOINTED I feel like i spent $500 on crap.

Call or email Ecotech... They seem to be a top notch company.

On the other hand, I run Tunze's in my tank and have never had a single issue.

Good Luck.

Vortechs aren't c***, however do give EcoTech a call, before giving up the ghost

+1, they have great customer service. I had an MP-10 that was a little noisy when I purchased it and it got worse as time went by. They sent me a new motor unit (the bad part) and let me keep the old noisy motor until the new unit arrived so I didn't have to go without the pump during the shipping process.

Ecotech has the best customer service ever. Just call them and they will send you another one and then let you return the broken one.

Call up Ecotech this is a known issue they are working through some bad controllers similair to the bad bearings 6 months or so back, they held good and fixed 'em no question they are doing the same here. VERY stand up company... read my post in vendors section from last week

I own two MP40's and have had them for about two years. I am not convinced that the quality is all that good considering the cost of these things. I had problems with both of them. I had to replace parts of a wet side and the dry side was replaced. Now I have controller that doesn't work properly (out of warranty). I also think the dry sides are getting more noisey. I will say that they are good about taking care of warranty problems but a year goes by pretty fast and then it can get expensive when you start replacing parts. They obviously sell a lot of replacement parts. I for one will never buy another Vortech but I realize lots of people love them.
