what are these growing on my rock?

What are these? i just noticed them on my rock. are they good or bad?
They are around 1/4 inch long kind of translucent and they are hart/ brittle. pinkinsh with white on the end and looks like a little tube.

Not positive on an id, but 2nd pic looks like a tube worm. Just a filter feeder, no big deal if that's in fact what it is.

Looks like vertimid worms.I always chip them off my live rock.

after doing a google image search or your suggestions im leaning towards vertimid worms.so are they good or bad and if bad how do you get rid of them?

They are fine. They only become a problem if you have high nutrients to feed a million of them.

I think they are tube worms, I had a bunch of them, but they started to go away on there own...... still have a few here and there

Part of natural reef life?

They're harmless IMO

I think you will get mixed opinions on these. I have noticed a few of these popping up in my nano, actually more than a few. I haven't seen a speck of algae in over 4 months though so I'm not sure how nutrients are involved here. I'm not too worried....

well the rock has been in my tank for a week and its only a 5 lb piece to seed 85lbs of dry rock. so should i pull it out for a couple minutes grab a knife and just scrape them off at this point in time as its not a big deal to do. the 85lbs of dry rock would be as its glued together.

One time I was adding Kent Microvert and those things went crazy I actually stopped because they were everywhere, good or bad I'm not sure but that's all I could see that was benefiting from the stuff.
