GFO reactor pumps

I have a Maxi-Jet 1200 on my GFO reactor from BRS. Now is there pumps that are more quiet then a Maxi-jet I have now humming?

Is the pump laying on the sump floor ? If it is just pick up a silicone pot holder at Bed Bath and Beyond .
2nd option .. Hang the pump so it's floating in the water slightly above the sump floor .

The pump is hanging in the water. You can fell the tubing vibration back to the reactor. Still humming loud and I cleaned it to see if dirt in it. I also put plastic pipe insulation around pump.

max jets are junk even the colbalt version. if i was you id make a manifold off your return line and power your reactors. then use the max jet for water changes. i use my max jet for water changes and im sitting here listening to the pump and i couldnt imagine this in my system running 24/7. F that lol

I am using a mag 7 to run two BRS jumbo reactors.. Works great and its silent. You can't go wrong with mag pumps.

I use a small Eheim on my gfo reactor it's so silent I've never heard it and it has ran for years trouble free with the same impeller, knock on wood...
