quick Tunze 9002 nano skimmer question (search still down-sry!)

hey guys,

got my nano skimmer today and just put it together. i read the manual and it says "the silicon hose must not be bent!" i presume they are referring to the air hose on the inside... and mine is bent and curled in all sorts of ways. lol. is the hose itself too long? has anyone cut theirs?

and... why cant i twist off the top cap from the collection cup?!?! manual says twist anti-clockwise, do i need to workout my forearms?!?!

on a side note, this is much cooler than the aquaC remora. its also a bit smaller and easier to handle/adjust.

I think what they mean is to not let the hose kink. The lid should just twist off, maybe you need to eat more spinach?

ahaha.. thanks. hose is def not kinked. air should flow through with ease.

and i got the lid off.. turns out i was twisting the wrong part (i was turning the outside, so basically, i was just turning the entire collection cup round n round). dont tell anybody tho and hopefully this thread will die and i wont be embarrassed. =)
