anyone order rimless frag tank from GLASS CAGES
i have heard its a hit or miss with tanks from glasscages.com
however i was considering ordering one of their rimless frag tanks..just a bare tank no overflow or anything...i figure the less that can go wrong and ill have my local store drill it for me....has anyone ordered a rimless from them??? the only reason i am thinking of ordering from them is because its $170 for a 36x36x8 frag tank and i got a quote from a local custom place and they said in the range of $600 lol |

At 8" deep what is the worst that can go wrong?
If you had to re-silicone the whole thing, you could do it in an hour. I say go for it. With that said, I have no experience with Glass Cages and have read some less than glowing reviews.

Anyone know of any other custom glass aquarium manufacturers? Currently ordering a custom 5' X 2' X 16" Tall glass tank and glass sump for toxicity experiments at work from them. Its been delay after delay along with a price increase with glass cages but I can't really find any other online vendors...

Their silicone jobs are strong, but not pretty. I have a 250 gal tank and it took some time to clean up the silicone. For a frag tank I would not have any reservations. They also drilled the holes exactly to my specs.
