I for sure want some candy cane coral, Could i keep any sps maybe a birdsnest or something? I dont want anything that will take over like mushrooms or kenya tree.

You should have no problems keeping most softies, leathers, and lps with your lights. Just look up a information sheet online if you are ever unsure about the care level required for a certain coral. If you want SPS I strongly recommend that you start with an extremely forgiving species like montipora, and slowly work your way to birds nest once a montipora colony or two is doing well.

Are you sure your not thinking about xenia or anthelia instead of kenya tree?
I have never heard of kenya tree taking over a tank to the point I cannot be controlled like mushrooms or other corals. Kenya tree is one of my favorite sofites.

It is possible with your lights. But I generally never recommend anemones for reef tanks. A $25-40 BTA can do $100-1000 of damage in a very short amount of time. But if your willing to take the risk, they can also be beautiful, model citizens in reefs as well. I also suggest you stay away from anemones unless your tanks is mature at least 6 months to a year.

Your light could easily support birdsnest and monti's. Now of YOU personally can keep them, that's another story. But you won't know till you try it.
