how to take care of ick
fear of geting ick agean. whats the best solution. could i pretreat the tank to prevent ick from the future.

That might work, they also say to feed garlic, but I would stay with cross your fingers. |

Use proper fish quarantine procedures as outlined in the related sticky threads. Long-term fallow quarantine methods would be needed for items that aren't fish and can't be treated with medications to eliminate most likelihood of remaining cysts or other life stages. It is very debatable/doubtful if garlic or any other display tank treatments are effective at all. I'm no ich expert and have not gone to this degree of treatment in my tank, but this is how I've understood methods to greatly reduce the chances of introducing ich. JMTC & GL!

sorry new to the hobby got a 30 gal tank. how would i feed the garlic to my tank.
