Home Depot t5 lights 6500k

Anyone ever tried one of these? 10 bucks. They have t5 kits pretty cheap and most of it is probably UL rated. I'm not sure if this is HO but it's 55 watts.

This will grow stuff alright mostly alage. The bulb is meant for plant growth, and I can not confirm, but someone also told me the ballast are low end and will not work with the better T5 bulbs correctly.

Take it for what it is worth. Just my .02 worth

That link says $125 for the 4ft 4-bulb fixture. You could get a better fixture (way better) used for that kind of dought

Get the double fixture and just modify it with an old single, that is if you've purchased one when you bought your tank. This way you can use the home depot t5. The antinic will just burn out if you use the home depots ballast. And this way you'll have two k and one antinic if done right you can wire the two ballasts together. So that way there on one plug . Just make sure you use a ground.
