Ozone effect on corals - observations
So, I have been using an ozotech ozonizer on my mixed reef for about a week.
The ORP prior was ~320. Afterwards 400. I've noticed the the colt corals (Klyxum sp) I have are somewhat shriveled up, but the mushrooms (Ricordea, Actinodiscus sp) have about doubled in diameter. The water is noticably clearer, and interestingly I have been getting more skimmate. I also have LPS, zoanthids, and SPS in the tank, with no noticable effect on those.

I use a low level of ozone but not as an ORP raiser; in fact I do not even measure ORP. I have been doing so for years but do not recall what corals were like beforehand.

What level of dosing do you use? The P303 I have doesn't really have a dial with dosing, so the only way I know of to control how much I'm giving is ORP.
What benefit do you think the ozone is giving you? I've read mixed reviews/opinions.
