question about di resin canister

I have a 5 part brs rodi water filter and I have a question about the DI section of it. All of the other filter canisters seem to be full off water except the DI section. The DI section is only a quater to a half way full of water. Is this normal or is di cartridge not seated right in the filter?

Waiting for the experts here but, mine does the same. Brs had a document that said do not worry about the DI canister being completely full. But mine is only about 1/3 and I have always thought that something wasn't quite right but my TDS is always 0.2 ppm at the output so I guess it is working fine

That's no problem. It's a pressure thing. The inside chamber of the canister, where the resin is, is full. It has to be because the water comes out of the top of it. The air in there doesn't affect the performance in any way.

If it bugs you, crack the canister loose while the unit is running and it will fill up.
