Ocean Pods - Group Buy
I can order these soon if anyone is interested. If you want to restock your refugium with pods, then here is a chance to introduce 3 types of pods. Here is quoted information from the website.
"Ocean Pods TM is a mix of three species that are well suited for a variety of projects - feeding a mandarin, restocking live sand or live rock or to put in your refugium. The largest species is about 2 mm in length, and the small and medium size ones are about 1/10 to 1/20 the size and become more apparent after about 10 days to two weeks when they bloom. Densities of animals are counted under a microscope before filling the bottles, to get several hundred of each species in the bottle, aiming for 1,000 total. The smallest species, which tends to be the most helpful one over time, is the most numerous, FYI. There are about 1,000 animals per bottle, but they are hard to see when juveniles (<1/10 mm in width). Recommendations: one bottle of the Ocean Pods for each of the 50 gallons for establishing a culture, restocking a tank or seeding a refugium." I believe I can get these for about $20 a bottle. Each bottle is 4 oz and contains 3 species totaling 1,000 pods. These pods will reproduce in your tank unlike tiger pods. If you want to participate in this group buy, then you will need to meet me in the Jackson or Milan area within a few days of arrival. I'll keep them at the appropriate temp until delivery. I plan to order in a week if we have interest in this. Let me know how many you want if you are interested.

Ok, we have enough to place an order. I plan to place the order on Monday, so I'll give people another day to decide if they want in. I am only in Jackson Monday through Friday, so I need money by Friday for Jackson residents. For those closer to my area or passing through Milan, you can get it to me by this weekend.

The pods are now ordered.
I have been out sick the past few days, so I just went ahead and placed the order. You can pay next week when they come if that is more convenient. I'm doing it this way since it is a smaller order. It will ship between Monday and Wednesday next week. I'll post the ETA when I receive it. I'm sending out the total you owe.

The pods will be here Friday. I will acclimate them to room temp and open the tops for fresh air as recommended while at work. Give me a call Friday to arrange to meet for pickup.

The pods came in today. They move around like tigger pods.

I believe the mandarin enjoys them. I have some in a 10 gallon attempting to get them populating.
