Nice setup. Now that tank is cool.
Did you build the stand? What kind of return pump are you thinking of using? Any info is great. Thx

Thanks for the compliment. I did not build the stand, it's all Lee-Mar built, good solid stuff.
For a return pump, I'm thinking of using an Eheim 1262, but I'm really trying to keep the cost down overall so a "pre-loved" pump might be in order. |

Where's the old tank, did you set it back up after you moved?

I wish I would of bought a Lee-Mar stand, instead of the Advance Aqua unit.
Not very well made. I was thinking of a Eheim 1260 for my setup. I started with a Rio HF12, waaay to much flow. I had a Rio 1700 "plus" just the right amount of flow for me. I may have to buy a new 1700, 33 watts only.

Old tank is still at Old house, and Old lease expires at the end of the month.
The goal is to get New tank up and running, and start moving LR into New tank ASAP. |

Looks fun!
The Eheim Compact+ series has been pretty good to me, so you might want to look into one of those (and they're not too pricey) for your return pump. They're quiet and low wattage... a win-win. -Chad

Purchased PVC cutters and some bushings to make sure my plumbing works.
I need a sump that is under 22 inches wide. This might be difficult. |

UPDATE: I moved the tank about 1 foot to the left.
That is all. Xavier, thank you for all the help in planning this little beast. The sump is going to be interesting, that's for sure. |

Bean you are right about that, which is the same advice Gemini and username gave to me. I'm probably going to go with something that produces 300-500 gph in flow. I think a slow sump flow might be better, since I plan on hooking up a couple Koralias on a wavemaker.

Allright. Made some progress!
Here's gemini aquarius(t) helping a brother out Sand, pre-seeded sand from my old tank, 25g of water, and a Koralia. Now for the rest of the plumbing. 22 days until the coral has to be out of my old tank. |
