Good or bad?

I was reading another post about how some fish suddenly died. It was brought up that covering the tank w glass could have decreased the oxygen level and could have caused the fish to die. I have an acrylic tank that came with 2 lids for the cut out top portion of the tank. I was just wondering if this could cause an oxygen defiency in my tank. I have a built in overflow w sump, protein skimmer, and refugium. I would say my return pump and powerheads provide a "good" amount of surface agitation. Should I or shouldn't I be using my lids?

Your protein skimmer should keep your tank full on oxygen. I'd worry about the lids affecting your evaporation, causing your tank to overheat. Plus they'll get salt creep and moisture which will reduce the light penetration.
