Need Protein Skimmer for 55 gallon reef.

Hey I have a 55 gallon reef tank and it needs to be both a hang on and sump skimmer. I don't want to spend a ton of money. It just needs to get the job done and not be a POS. Any places I can get them cheap helps

I have a reef octopus skimmer bh 1000 model, it's a hob. I use it on my 50 gallon,I think its rated for up to a 75 gallon.

one word....REEF OCTOPUS, anyone of there skimmers should do just fine for a decent price. Anything cheaper don't seem to work is good.

Tunze 9006 in tank skimmer and sump model same skimmer

Tunze 9006 or 9011. They can be hung just about anywhere.

The octos would work but would need to be hung off a divider in sump (unless you have room outside the sump) because their intake and output are on the bracket side.
