HOB refugium
I currently have one HOB refugium and im looking to add another to my tank to grow out frags. I also have 2 mangroves in my sump that are growing too well to fit comfortably so i was thinking of moving them to the new refugium as well. But im having trouble deciding what to light the refugium with. I currently run a 36watt power compaq on the one i have I was thinking of trying a 48" light that i could light both with. Has anyone had luck growing refugiums with a LED light. I was looking at the marineland or aquatraders 48" reef capable light but im unsure if this would be good for growing the mangroves. The other light setup I have been thinking about was leaving the light on my old one and purchasing the coralif aqualight professional HQI pendant to hang over the new one and the mangroves and im sure this would be overkill but would allow for use on many other setups in the future? Any suggestions? Anyone currently having luck growing mangroves with a LED unit? My tank is in my refinished basement so there really is not any other supplemental light coming in through windows.
