RO/DI Install...

ABout to have a new laundry sink installed in the basement (where no sink resides now) though there is a drain in place... Anything I could do to reduce the cost or increase the effectiveness of an RO/DI system now? I currently keep FW tanks, but am considering trying an SW setup(sub 100g to start) and want to make it as easy as possible!

I am also going to be installing a new ro/di this week. It is a 75gpd 6 stage system also rated to remove chloromines. Forgive the spelling. Check with your local water district and ask if they add chloromines to the water. It took me less than 5 minutes to make the call.

Nope plumb everything for the sink. You can get a garden hose attachment for the sink or a needle saddle that actually punctures the copper pipe. I to have had FW and I'm joining the dark side. I love using the RO/DI water on my FW tanks!!! Though it's not totally needed for a FW with fish only. My tank has all live plants in it that's the only reason I use it.

If you have a plumber coming have them install a t joint for the pipe instead of a needle saddle.
