Canister, HOB, or Reactor for GAC

I currently run a large HOB on my 75g mixed reef to run chemipure. I'm tired of the extra bubbles and the splash putting salt spray on the plexiglass of my light fixture. I have an old Rena Filstar 2-basket canister filter, or I figure I could buy another Phosban reactor. Before I go that route though I wondered if the canister might be just as effective. I'd plan on only putting the media bag in there to cut down on nitrate production.

I addition to whatever I decide on here I also run a phosban reactor for GFO, a sulfur nitrate reactor, and a skimmer that is massive for the size of my tank.

Thanks!
