Bean Animal Overflow system
I am having some slight issues with the noise of my 72gal bow front.... I have quieted it down a bit but i still have the water and air mixing creating turbulence and such. I have looked into doing a Bean Animal overflow system
http://www.beananimal.com/projects/s...ow-system.aspx My only problems are.... 1) tank is already set up and running... no fish but I'd prefer not to take the thing down. I like my rock structure too much! 2) I am using a www.glass-holes.com 700gph overflow box. Does anyone have any experience with a Bean Animal overflow system along with a glass-holes box or have any suggestions how to make it all work together w/o draining the tank? I have unions on my current overflow drain so removing sections isnt hard at all. I figured I would have to tinker with it till i got it just right. I am also running a Mag 9.5 for my return but have it closed a bit b/c too much flow out into the tank from it. I feel it will shoot my fish across the tank...lol Also I think its a little noisy and I plan on getting an Eheim 1260 ( i hear they are reliable and quiet). Anyways please let me know! |
