Tank transplant help!?
Hey i have a 20g reef tank that I have going. It has now been decided to upgrade to like a 60g and I want to know how I should go about doing this? Just cycle the 60g and when parameters are good transplant? Any tips from anyone would be nice.
Thanks

I'd start filling the 60 with water change water until its almost full. Move your rock and sand let it settle then move over your livestock. I've moved, changed, and upgraded many times without cycleing the new tank by using this method.

So just fill it with new water and add all the water from the old tank?

do you have sand in the 20 tank? if so dont upset it before you have your livestock removed from the tank. I have a huge tupperwear bin that I put all my stuff in (except sand) while moving cross country. Then I re set up the old tank and let it cycle a few days before moving everything back in.
