Overflow noise
Just installed a larger pump on my tank, and I got a potential problem. In have two overflow boxes each plumbed with 1.5" tubing. Both come together at a Tee and exit with 2" tubing into the sump. One of the overflow boxes sounds like it's gulping in air making substantial noise. What's the problem and is there any way to correct it?

Do you have air bleeders on the elbows off the overflows?

Google overflow box silencer. There are several approaches to fix this.

It sounds like you have an air venting problem.

Easiest way to figure it out is posting a pic of drains top to bottom. Are you using Durso's? Is the drain submerged in the sump? Is the tank level? Is the pump too big? Is there a valve on the supply of the pump to throttle back? And if you went concentric i wouldnt have used a tee a wye would have been better.

I got two CPR CS150 overflow boxes. What's the best way to silence them?
