Better spread.. Lumenarc 3 mini or lumenmax 2?

Im running a lumenmax 2 SE currently and wondering if i would get better light spread with lumenarc 3 mini?

the lumenmax 2 is a very compact reflector but is a good one.

The lumenarc 3 mini will give more spread.

If this is for a 40 breeder I would stick with the lumenmax 2. You will have to run the lumenarc 3 mini very close to the water to avoid spillover.
