Glass heater out of water - still okay to use?
The water level ran low in the back of my biocube and the heater was running dry, not sure how long. I inspected the heater and the glass is not cracked - is the heater still okay to use?

As long as the glass isn't cracked and nothing is obviously melted it should be fine.

I did something similar a while back. I guess there is an over-temp switch in there, because it was off when I found it and wouldn't turn back on. After 15 minutes or so unplugged, it was working fine again.
I'm sure yours is probably fine too. |
