Talking 3 sides are better than 2- Lets see those peninsular tanks!

My 90g peninsular mixed reef built-in is cycling- please share pics of your peninsular tank (or someone else's for that matter- but give credit where it's due) no matter how big or small! I'd love some aquascaping inspiration!

Not a very big peninsula, but I love it none the least. It feels much bigger then 33g with the openness around it. I enjoy having all equipment tucked away in the back with 3 sides of viewing pleasure.

Check out this thread (you can start at the end & work forward). This was the first local guy we met in the hobby (2nd time around for me, 1st for my boyfriend). We bought our first frags for our tank from him LOL. He has an awesome tank and fantastic photog skills to go with it.

Here's mine. It's just finishing cycling and I've got a clean up crew coming Friday. It's a custom tank built by GEO. His workshop is about 5 minutes from my house. He normally doesn't do tanks but I caught him in a good mood! The craftsmanship is awesome.

Still finishing up construction. The tank will be the first thing visitors see when they walk in the front door.

hobbbby 3- very cool. That's going to be visible from so many places in that area. I'd love to see how you aquascape. Are you running MHs or T5s? It might get a little toasty in there with a smaller canopy and halides. Have you considered an open top and suspending lights?

My 90 is built as a room divider in the basement and the canopy goes to the ceiling to complete the "wall", I removed the drop-ceiling tiles directly above it so the effective space above the tank for heat dissipation is much larger. With 2x250w MHs, I get to about 81F max.

Thanks for sharing!
