Cyano Algae build up....

I have a refugium and I am noticing that I have a lot of cyano slime red algae in my refugium. I have chaetomorphia as well. It there anyway I can get rid of the cyano algae? Thanks

Syphoning it out has been the best method for me and keeping nutrients low

Better there then the DT. But yeah siphoning it out would be best but like I said, if it's there then it will do the work of removing all that bad stuff.

Well I have chaeto down there for that. Does this Chemi-Clean stuff do the trick? Won't it come back if I just siphon it out?

Definitely don't chemi-clean just over cyano in the refugium. If it's in the DT and you can't get it, then that's a good last option. But the cyano in your refugium is doing wonderful things for your water quality. I'd say let it stay as long as it stays put.

Lights out 3 days (if you don't have caulerpa!)---actinic on the fourth, whole system, skim hard. Gets it.

Salinity 1.024-6; alkalinity 8.3-9.3 on KH scale; calcium 420; magnesium 1300, temp 78-80, nitrate .2. Ammonia 0. No filters: lps tank. Alk and cal won't rise if mg is low.

Current Tank Info: 105g AquaVim wedge, yellow tang, sailfin blenny,royal gramma, ocellaris clown pair, yellow watchman, 100 microceriths, 25 tiny hermits, a 4" conch, 1" nassarius, recovering from 2 year hiatus with daily water change of 10%.
