IMO I would go with a 50 gal. crew from them, they can't count and you always get many more than you need.
great place to deal with though

Oh man those cleanup crew places drive me crazy. Even the 50 gal. crew is pushing it. I mean unless you have an established tank and a heck of a lot of fish and feed a ton. I guarantee you at least 75% of those guys will starve. Plus nassarius just wreak havoc on the micro-fauna population in a live sand bed.
I would highly recommend building up your CUC over time as the need grows. I like to buy critter it little batches at the LFS as my tank matures and the bioload goes up and algae starts growing. |

wow, looks like serious overkill. I would just start off with some ceriths and some nerites( maybe 10 each) and a few hermits if you want them. I personally dont like hermits in my tanks, but thats just my opinion.

IMO those are the best two snail species, and hermits will decimate your cerith snails (at least my red-legged hermits love to kill them). I prefer to get ornamental shrimp for my CUC. They're more expensive than bulk hermits and preclude me from getting a wrasse or bigger predators, but they are much more interesting and more reef safe than hermits. It's really up to your preferences and budget. |
