Google leak frog.

My controller emails me if there is water on the floor but I use leak frogs as well.

What do you plug in to your controller to sense a water leak?
I have an Apex controller and I'm trying to set this up.

Leak Frogs are great. They are always popping up on Woot!. They are usually $13 for two plus $5 shipping ($9 each for two). But you can buy up to three sets for $5 shipping ($7.33 each for six). Here is a link from the last time they popped up a few days ago:

EDIT:

Here is another DIY option I learned from this board years ago. If you have any old smoke detectors laying around you can turn them into overflow alarms. Take two wires, any wire will do, I used speaker wire. Solder one wire to the "test plunger" on the smoke detector and the other wire to the board of the smoke detector that the plunger makes contact with when you test it. Place the other end of the wires by the area you want to monitor for water leaks. If there is a leak water will hit the two wires and complete the circuit and the smoke detector will go off. You can see a picture of the smoke detector and a close up of the contacts I am talking about below:

Err I think I use the 2600t IIRC. It's the 4 wire with remote probes.

Many controllers have proprietary leak detection devices. My controller has that upgrade available but I have not gotten around to purchasing it. I'm currently using the dry sock walking through the house in the middle of the night method
