Show me your ATO
So I am trying to explain to my wife why I need an ATO and a reservoir for the ATO. But she's all like " your big smelly fish tank is going to get bigger?"
So I told her I can make a custom cabinet to hide the reservoir next to the tank or drill a hole in the wall an place it outside or even do one of those nice acrylic ones. Can you please post some pictures of how you have yours set up so I can show her some ideas and prove that it can look nice as well? Here is a photo of the 120 I am setting up. Thanks! |

Here is my home made gravity ATO, using a 6 gallon Eclipse tank, John Guess 1/4" valves and tubing, and Eshopps plastic (important) float valve. The tank can easily be hidden in a small stand next to tank. Mine is not noticeable due to being in the corner, clear tank, and stand painted white.

Hey James, how's it going. I have a 20 gallon container next to my tank like this.
I am using the Tunze Osmolator 3155 dumping in to one of the overflows in the tank. If you have the ability to put this on an outside wall even better. Just drill the hole in the wall, and use a coaxil cable defuser plate. Run your wiring and ATO line through them, nice and clean. |

Check out my thread, I've had to maximize my space. Might give you a few inspired ideas. I'm using a Tunze Osmolator ATO, I would definitely recommend it. Comes with everything needed including a pump. A decent ATO (JBJ) is about $100, the Tunze can be found for $200 new shipped and 125-150 used shipped online if you look around.
