Heaters For Large Aquarium
I have a 300 gallon SPS tank with a 500 gallon total water volume. What brand of heaters has everyone had good experience with? I am currently using 2 150 Watt Finnex heaters that I am not too happy with since I have had to replace them a few times already.

Eheim jager heaters seem to be pretty popular. Aquaclear is also good.

+1 on Eheim Jager heaters. 2 x 150W heaters isn't too much wattage for a large water volume, at least in my area. If your heaters are on all the time, they may wear out quicker IMO. Another good alternative is the JBJ Titanium Tru-Temp.

Eheim Jager, I suggest getting multiple and placing them in different places so they are not always on.

you probably need larger heaters. I run 2x150 in my 56 gallon. A bit overkill for me.

a mag drive pump(mag36 if you can find one) as a return pump submerged in your sump will make heaters as about as useful as dollar store plastic truck to haul 1 ton of rocks
i run mag 24 in all my systems that average 300g per system and don't need or own a heater and i keep my house temp as close to 65 as i can year around |

I switched to the house water heater. One if the best things I ever did. My electric dropped and I no longer have to worry about run away or broken heaters.

I run 2 x 200 w Eheim Jager in my 120 g dt. I would think on a 300g, 2 x 300 w version would likely do it.
