Need A little Assistance
Hi everyone I am new to the hobby and need a little help. I have an 80 gallon tank that I purchased about a month and half now. I have a 20 gallon refu. The equipment I have are a rio 2100 pump, a single over flow box with a cyphon and I also have a red sea prizm deluxe protein skimmer. I have a attached some pictures. I have debris and particles on the top part of the water that just wont go away. What upgrades or recommendations can anyone provide to help me clear up my water and have a great flow system. I will appreciate all the help I can get. Also I have been thinking of getting the sock to put in my sump is that a good idea?

To Reef Central MayRey1, my advice to you would be to purchase a surface skimmer for the surface of your aquarium tank water that will do the job as ive had that problem before. most online sponsors will have them ready to ship right out to you so it just attaches to your overfloe box on your tank and your surface water will be sparkling clean, try and also try and point the rio powerhead in the direction of the overflow skimmer when you attach it. hope this helps...

I use a hang on back filter. This helps break surface tension as with collecting unwanted debris.
You could try another powerhead facing the surface. |

Either sollution you got so far would work IMO, I would try the powerhead pointed towards the surface first
Hope this helps |
