I.D. Please
My tanks about 2.5 weeks old since I started the cycle with raw shrimp, have 50lbs lr and 85lbs dry rock. Also I have a mixture of some snails, crabs and 2 clowns currently for the past few days and all is well.
I turned the lights on today and noticed all these little things stuck to the side of the glass, theres not many but roughly about 10 or so on just the front peice of glass. |

Look like nerite snail eggs.
Did your tank fully cycle before you added all this livestock?

I would love a Sticky with pictures of common pests to be removed and how best to go about it (I can provide plenty of pictures, lol). I do know a site with common hitchhikers with pictures but it does not tell you if a pest or what. http://www.chucksaddiction.com/hitchhikers.html |

Most say they're not pests. I started with one I missed in a frag a year ago & now I have well over 20. Some of them like to park in various zoa frags & irritate the crap out of them. Those I try to get rid of. Once with injected lemon juice & once with injected kalk paste...neither killed them, but some moved. This is in a high nutrient softy tank, which might contribute to their happiness. And they're not actually anemones, but corallimorphs, more related to mushrooms.
There is a sticky hitchhiker thread, with some listed as pests & some short ideas on how to get rid of them, however the thread is getting very long because rather than look through the thread 1st for an ID, people just post their pics of stuff that there are already lots of pics/IDs in there. The longer the thread gets, the less willing people are to spend 10 minutes looking through it first. For getting rid of pests, a quick use of the search feature provides plenty of options.
