looks to me like the cycle is going good. if you haven't already you can pull out the raw shrimp and let the cycle continue on it's own

What size tank? And did you have live rock, add bio?

I am a week into my cycle and no sight of nitrates, not even a hint of nitrites. So I was just curious how you have cycled into some nitrates already. I have a 37 gallon, no live rock, no live sand, and no bio added. Mine is going to go slow.

Put some macro algae like chaeto in there to help with nitrates. It does wonders and you'll be up and running in a couple of weeks.

Yes.

You'll be ready to go in August.

Just leave the shrimp in the tank to disintegrate. Has your ammonia been holding steady? I know mine did for a few days then the nitrites started. Good luck with your tank.

lots of people have turned their aquaclears into a fuge but make sure you put a light over top for the cheato

ROFL the last 2 tanks i set up i have let cycle for all most 3 months. This makes a huge difference then waiting the min. time and adding a bunch of fish/corals. i add a CUC and throw food in about once a week to feed them. id wait a solid 3 weeks before you add any thing you are not prepared to lose. start by adding a cromis or clown and keep testing your water making sure lvls dont spike. good luck
and remember the only fast things that happen in this hobby are BAD ones!!
