Koralia Pumps on a controller
So I am going to order the basic reefkeeper lite for my 6g. I would like to use the wave maker feature with 2 koralia 240's, but I have heard that that will not work because sometimes the koralia propellers will start running backwards. Does anyone have this problem? Is there any way to prevent it?

this seems to be a pretty common problem with older model Koralia's. Im not sure of any way to prevent this from happening because the constant off/on to create a wave, seems to be hard on the powerheads.

I would think that if they were on a controller it wouldn't be a problem because they shut off every second. So if it started backwards, it would do it once then shut off and go back to normal right?
My dad said he e-mailed them about it and they said if the cover is wore out that it would do that and they replaced his for free. I think I might just try it. Mine have never started backwards and if they do I could e-mail them and get it replaced. |

A friend of mine had that problem with the older koralias, but the Koralia Evolution series are designed not to knock and stuff from what i've heard. I use a Reefkeeper Lite PLUS, and i'm using the wavemaker program to simulate an incoming and outgoing tide. I'll let you know how it goes
