Lights stayed on for a week.
So i went out of town and ended up having an equipment failure. My crappy timer for my light failed to turn off and they stayed on for 5 days straight, I have every algae variant imaginable. Soon as I turened the lights off my carpet anemone closed up completely into this tight ball but then opened back up. I didnt loose any fish and I dont think I will lose any coral besides a candy cane coral frag that i had, and maybe a purple montipiora that i was trying to nurse back to health. what should I do, and what can i expect in the next couple of days.

You should be fine. Anemones will sometimes close up briefly when their environment changes. If your coral frag was new its possible all the lighting could have shocked it since it was not yet acclimated to your lighting. You can also keep your lights off for a day or two without any harm. You may want to consider a controller for your tank, they prevent timers and other equipment failures. This could have easily have been your heater that failed in the on position!

I would leave them off for 24h then resume normal schedule. Agree above that you were luckly with this failure mode: a controller will more than pay for itself with saved livestock over time. My apex just texted me that the tank temp is above 82 so I turned my MHs off through my iPhone while at work (which I also could automate if I wasn't so lazy). The piece of mind with a controller (esp. when you are away) is priceless.
