stinky tubing
I am setting up my 1st tank and ordered some black flexible vinyl tubing for overflow box and return (tank not drilled).
http://www.drsfostersmith.com/produc...fm?pcatid=8005 Last night I took it out of the shipping bag and noticed it has a very strong rubbery smell. My hand still stink after several washes. Do you know if that rubber tubing is harmful to the fish? should I just air it out? soak it in water? or anything I can do regarding the stinky smell? more importantly, i don't want my fishes to die of BPA... Thank you for your thoughts. |

I have never had any problems with the smell and such it will get rinsed out very fast and if you run carbon it will help.
