Have LEDS should I add Halide or T5s????
I have a 75 G reef now and I am moving to a 125 6 foot long. I have reef bright XHOs 48 inch 1 blue and 1 50/50. I was wondering what is the best way to go to add 2more T5s or go with halides 2 250w??? Do you think the 48 inch is fine for the 6 foot tank???

If the tank is a standard 125gal then there are probably three 2 foot sections. U would need 3 halides.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1341837960.176056.jpg

I would keep with LEDs.
Check the thread in the lighting forum for "chinese led fixtures". Or google "aliexpress D120 dimmable LED". You can get some decent output LED fixtures on the cheap without the electricity consumption and heat output of MH with similar power. As chris mentioned. You will need 3 units no matter what you do. |

LED are more than proven for keeping SPS and all corals. However, they are still new and name brand fixtures are still way off on price.
Check this video out. LED vs MH. The only exception is this place is using one of the newer and more expensive units out there. http://youtu.be/at21xN_6224 |
