Introducing Corals
What are recommendations on when to start introducing corals and anenomies into a "new" tank?
I obviously have a couple coral that were on some live rock I purchased, but nothing I specificaly purchased. |

i just throw them in. the corrals i have in are doing well so im sure the new ones will be good. im sure most on here have some whole step process for introducing corals. im sure more will chim in.

you dont put anemones in new tanks. Just not a good idea

What do you mean by new? How long has your tank been up and running?

Start any coral low on the sand, then bring it up week by week closer to the lights until you find where it's happy.

Sk8r Salinity 1.024-6; alkalinity 8.3-9.3 on KH scale; calcium 420; magnesium 1300, temp 78-80, nitrate .2. Ammonia 0. No filters: lps tank. Alk and cal won't rise if mg is low. Current Tank Info: 105g AquaVim wedge, yellow tang, sailfin blenny,royal gramma, ocellaris clown pair, yellow watchman, 100 microceriths, 25 tiny hermits, a 4" conch, 1" nassarius, recovering from 2 year hiatus with daily water change of 10%. |

For the sake of your other corals.....don't forget to dip your corals to get ride of ride-along pests.
