Question Acan growth rate?

I'm looking to get a few acans, my first ones, and I was curious about the growth rate. I know there are a million factors that relate to this but based on your conditions what is the growth rate of your acans? new head per month? 2 months? what?

TIA

Mine are fairly slow compared to other (chalice, favia, etc) but if you get in the habit of target feeding them 2 to 3 times a week they will pick up the pace. Small meaty food like mysis work well for this.

Its hard to judge the growth rate of acans because it depends on so many factors mine grow pretty fast when there is exposed skeleton to be covered maybe 3-4 heads a month maybe more maybe less depending on if i feed them or not but once the skeleton is all covered then they grow pretty slow.

my acans spread pretty fast, started with 3 heads and they all split off into 6 and they split to 12 withing a couple months. i find that my blastos spread about 2x as fast as my acans do.

My acans are hit and miss. My red ones haven't done anything but my purpleish ones went from 2 heads to 6 heads in 3 months. Conditions are identicle as they are about 1" apart on a rock.

growth rates change per so many conditions that it is difficult to give an accurate estimate.
